Path project -
• The Corps of Engineers project for the environmental restoration of Delta Ponds and
the associated recreation features will be of national significance and a showcase
.project for the Corps.
• The Corps project will create a tremendous recreational and educational asset for the
City of Eugene for current and future generations and will be linked to the Willamette
River trail system. The North Path project is outside of the scope of the Corps project
and will further enhance the recreational and educational opportunities of the Delta
Ponds.
• _ The North Path project provides a wide variety of construction activities including
brush clearing, trail building, boardwalk and overlook construction and bench and
interpretative sign installation.
• The North Path project is well defined with a clear scope of work and duration.
• The North Path project can proceed concurrently with or in advance of the Corps
project.
• The North Path project provides the_ opportunity for the Rotary to outreach to and
partner with area youth.
• Through Oregon Solutions, the City will develop partnerships with many other local
businesses and service organizations.
