At that meeting Erik Andersson from the Governors Economic and Revitalization Team (GERT) responded to Coburg's request for funding of the study. GERT is willing to fund the study with the expectation that Coburg hire an independent facilitator to complete the study. That puts a different twist on the project. In a conversation with Susie we both agree that getting the study done using MWMC and Brown and Caldwell would be the best option for us. Susie suggested that she could get items one and two of the SEL agreement completed as part of her. work schedule. (Thus no additional funding would be required) If you agree with this then I would get with Mike Hudson and see if they would fund Brown & Caldwell's work on the study with Susie. This would mitigate the need for funds from GERT. Where Susie said she could use the assistance would be with item number 3 "An environmental alternatives assessment." For this item we could use the GERT funds to have the DEQ complete this part of the study. So before I move ahead with the memo I thought it best to resolve this issue.
