• The EMS (Environmental Management System) Recommendation <br /> Application is an Intranet application that allows staff members to <br /> make recommendations for the EMS program. The recommendation <br /> then goes through a review process and at each step key staff is <br /> notified by email. <br /> • An online system for MSDSs (Material Safety Data Sheets) utilizing a <br /> product called MSDS online. Staff can now look up key MSDS <br /> information from any computer in the plant. <br /> • ,Expanded our Shared Documents system to include 3 other PW <br /> divisions. <br /> • Anew security/keying system called Cyberkey to secure the facility <br /> and pump stations. <br /> • A facility application that keeps #rack of capital improvement <br /> projects and their time lines. <br /> • EMS recommendation module is new which allows people to make <br /> recommendations for improvement to the program. <br /> • Upgraded Laserfiche, an electronic document control software tool, <br /> and Labworks, a laboratory information management system. <br /> • A DCS application that keeps track of hour meters has a <br /> knowledgebase for program troubleshooting, mms work orders for <br /> DCS and documentation system. <br /> 2. .Have any of these changes impacted your present management practices? <br /> Yes. If so, how have they impacted your past practices and what were those <br /> changes? While the changes in staff and personnel have not directly <br /> altered the management practices themselves, the reorganization of work <br /> units has helped provide focus on our service provision and the most <br /> significant change has been the technological advances associated with <br /> continued development of the Maintenance Management System (MMS), <br /> digital CCTV data, and the increased use of laptop computers out in the <br /> field providing greater real-time documentation of work activities.
