News Release DECISION MADE TO REMOVE AILING MAPLE TREE <br /> March 22, 19 9 <br /> <br /> y„ Page 2 <br /> At the suggestion of City Councilor Scott Meisner and others, efforts will be made to <br /> salvage porti ns of the maple tree for use as lumber to make furniture or other items that could <br /> i <br /> + be used in pu lic places. In response to concerns about timely notification, the City has agreed <br /> f to find new ays to post notices of emergency hazard tree removals, including using the Internet. <br /> ~ "If w have good cooperation, we can safely remove this tree and make the best possible <br /> use of it," Sn der said. "A lot of folks took the opportunity to come by last weekend and pay <br /> their last res ects.
