At the public information session, Robertson/Sherwood/Architects PC will <br /> <br /> .present the late t Amazon Pool schematic design and share information about the plans and <br /> project schedul . <br /> The fin 1 schematic design includes the following features: a new, 50-meter, eight-lane <br /> pool with three diving boards and an accessibility ramp; renovation of the existing beginner pool; <br /> anew, shallow ultipurpose pool; new decks and shade structures; enlarged turf area with a <br /> wheelchair-acc ssible berm; enlarged sand play area; expansion of the bathhouse; and 69 <br /> additional park ng spaces. <br /> The pro ect schedule calls for detailed design plans to be completed this winter, <br /> construction bi s to be opened in the spring of 2000, construction to begin in August 2000, and <br /> the grand reop ning of the pool in July 2001.
