The signal will include protected turns for <br /> vehicles in the ewly striped turn lanes on east- and west-bound Centennial. Due to rapid <br /> development i the vicinity of Garden Way and a recent spate of traffic accidents at this location, <br /> the Eugene Pu lic Works Department in March decided to have a City crew install a temporary <br /> signal until per anent improvements are made to Garden Way. <br /> i <br /> Anew ignal also is being installed on West l 1'" Avenue at Commerce Street, just east of <br /> Beltline Road. That signal, which includes protected left turns for east- and west-bound Traffic <br /> ~ on West l It", i scheduled to be activated on May 18. The signal was required as a condition of <br /> development f r the new commercial subdivision on the south side of West 11 at Commerce <br /> t <br /> Street. <br /> Both si naffs include pedestrian walkways.
