i i i i <br /> i <br /> CONTACT: m Larsen, Ferry Street Bridge Project Manager, 682-8450 <br /> 'i From Public In ormation Section, 682-5523 <br /> FOR IMMED ATE RELEASE <br /> MARCH 10 NFORMATION MEETING SET ON TWO COBURG ROAD PROJECTS <br /> A drop in information session is scheduled from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 10, at <br /> Monroe Middl School, 2800 Bailey Lane, to provide information to area residents about two <br /> ' construction p jects that will be occurring this year on Coburg Road south of Cal Young Road. <br /> ~ The fin 1 year of construction on the Ferry Street Bridge preservation and enhancement <br /> ~ project will in Jude asphalt paving on Coburg Road from the bridge to just north of Oakway <br /> i <br /> Road as well a concrete paving on the bridge and viaduct. Also this year, overlay work is <br /> 'scheduled on oburg Road from Oakway Cal Young Road. At the information session, Eugene <br /> Public Works taff will be on hand to receive comments and answer questions about scheduling, <br /> design issues, raffic control and other topics related to the two projects. <br /> ~ Work n the Ferry Street Bridge project began in 1997 and is scheduled to be <br /> substantially c mpleted by the end of this year. Overlay work has occurred for the past two <br /> summers on p rtions of Coburg Road north of Cal Young, and this year's work on the remaining <br /> segment from akway to Cal Young will complete repairs to the heavily used arterial before the <br /> roadway falls nto a greater state of deterioration.
