News Release Three New Traffic Signals <br /> May 4, 1998 <br /> Page 2 <br /> Also scheduled for activation this week is a new signal at the intersection of Danebo <br /> <br /> 'I Avenue and Royal Avenue/Welcome Way. The signal will include protected left turns from <br /> <br /> r <br /> Royal westbound onto Danebo southbound. A four-way stop was installed as an interim measure <br /> at the intersection, but increased traffic volumes warranted the full signalization of the <br /> intersection. The cost of the si nal is approximately $100,000. <br /> Later this year, the Public Works Department plans to install a new signal at 22"d Avenue <br /> and Chambers and add protected turns and other operational improvements to the existing signal <br /> <br /> I~ at Baile Hill Road and West 18`'' Avenue. Last month, the de artment activated a new <br /> Y p <br /> <br /> I~! pedestrian signal on Patterson Street in front on the YMCA.
