"Celebrate Wetlands and Water" will include <br /> irk-store presentations at Fred Meyer, 3333 West 11`'' Avenue, plus a bird walk and a plant walk <br /> atlnearby wetlands. <br /> From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. staff and volunteers will present information to shoppers at two <br /> lo~ations at the store. Special features will include Lily the tree frog, mascot of the Stormwater <br /> Management Program, and alarger-than-life salmon (in costume, of course). Fred Meyer will <br /> help publicize the event and will include stormwater management information in customers' <br /> sacks throughout the weekend. <br /> A free bird walk will be offered from 9 to 10 a.m. at Stewart Pond, located off Stewart <br /> Ro d just west of Bailey Hill Road, and people also are invited to stop by the pond for bird <br /> identification until 1 p.m. A free plant walk will be held at 10 a.m. at the Eastern Gateway <br /> we~lands, located off West Seventh Place just east of Bailey Hill Road.
