~ I ~ ~i ~ <br /> ¦ i. <br /> February 18, 1998 <br /> (CONTACT: Ruth Koeni ,Stream Team Coordinator, 682-4850 <br /> From Public Information Section, 682-5523 <br /> ',FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE <br /> VOLUNTEERS CAN HELP PLANT TREES AND PLANTS ALONG AMAZON CREEK <br /> A volunteer work party to plant trees and wetland plants along Amazon Creek west of <br /> ailey Hill Road will be held Saturday, February 28, from 10 a.m. to noon. <br /> i <br /> Volunteers will meet at 9:45 a.m. at Burley Design Cooperative, 4020 Stewart Road. <br /> ;'Stewart Road is located just north of West 11th Avenue between Bailey Hill and Bertelsen roads. <br /> The work site is also accessible from the new bike path constructed as part of the Amazon Creek <br /> 'enhancement (ACE) project, and several bike trailers will be available for use at the work party. <br /> Coffee and tea will be provided. Volunteers should bring shovels, if possible, and wear <br /> ~turdy boots or shoes and clothing appropriate for the weather.
