A total f five meetings are scheduled to explain the information in and receive public comment about the new raft Street Classifications and Design Standards document. All the meetings are scheduled to be in at 7 p.m. and last for approximately two hours: •Wedn sday, September 17, Sheldon Community Center, 2445 Willakenzie Road. • Thurs ay, September 25, Petersen Barn Community Center, 870 Berntzen Road. • Tuesd y, September 30, Churchill High School Theater, 1850 Bailey Hill Road. • Wedn sday, October 1, Hilyard Community Center, 2580 Hilyard Street. • Mond y, October 6, North Eugene High School, Room 319, 200 Silver Lane. A pubii hearing on the draft document will be held by the City of Eugene Planning Commission on Tuesday, Oc ober 21,at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 777 Pearl Street. The dr street classification document includes major changes in the classification and design of collector str ts, a summary of the local street design standards adopted by the Eugene City Council in 1996, a street c ssification map that identifies classificiations for specific streets, and numerous other recommendatio sin response to comments previously received on traffic volumes and speeds on Eugene streets.
