For 20 years, from 1961 to 1981, Ted planted nearly 1,200 plants from hybrids <br /> provided by D 1 and Ray James and expanded the garden to its current size. He set the style for <br /> the rustic, woo land garden and built rock walls and drinking fountains which still give the park <br /> its unique char cter to this day. <br /> The ne rock wall and bench were constructed by City staff and Jan Trombert, Ted's <br /> widow. The si e joins three others which honor citizens who have made substantial contributions <br /> to the park.
