Broken sections of paving will be dug up
and replaced, the edges of the existing pavement will be ground off using a process called
rotomilling, and atwo-inch layer of new asphalt concrete paving will be applied over the entire
width of the roadway.
Similar work will be done on Coburg Road from Beltline Road to Kinney Loop. Wildish
Construction Co. will be doing both the Coburg Road and Amazon Parkway jobs, and crews will
move to Coburg Road as each phase of the work on Amazon Parkway is completed. Excavation
on Coburg Road tentatively is scheduled to start September 16.
Construction hours for the Amazon Parkway and Coburg Road jobs are 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
On Amazon Parkway, during the excavation and rotomill phases, only one lane of traffic will be
open in the construction areas.
