"Talgo Joe" Stoddard will perform at 12:30, <br /> local dignitaries will speak briefly at 1:30, and the UO Green Garter Band will play from 1:45 <br /> to 2:45 p.m. <br /> The Spanish-built Talgo train will be on public display from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. <br /> Visitors will be able to tour the passenger train, which offers such amenities as air <br /> conditioning, reclining seats, automatic doors, folding tables, and music and video capability. <br /> Parking will be limited in the area of the Amtrak station. Special shuttle buses <br /> operated by the Lane Transit District will provide convenient access to the event from the <br /> downtown mall (10th and Charnelton). Free parking is available at the Parcade (Eighth and <br /> Willamette) and the Hult Center Garage (Olive between Sixth and Seventh). <br /> Saturday's event is being sponsored by Amtrak, the Oregon Business Coalition, the <br /> Oregon Department of Transportation, and the local Partners for High Speed Rail. <br /> <br />
