Pollutants that enter storm drains flow directly, untreated, to local <br /> streams a creeks before reaching Amazon Creek, Fern Ridge Reservoir or the <br /> Willamette River. <br /> i <br /> Stu ents will use vinegar and newspaper on glass surfaces for asmear-free <br /> shine and mixture of baking soda and warm water on painted surfaces to remove <br /> dirt. Hose but-off nozzles will conserve water and straw bales will be packed around <br /> the storm rain to help filter surface water pollutants from the runoff.
