According <br /> to Eugene-S 'ngfield housing plans, a family of four with an annual income of $17,400 would be <br /> considered ve low-income in Lane County. An open house and dedication ceremony is officially <br /> set for Augus 25th, 1995 from 10:00 - 12:00 a.m. Walnut Park is located near the intersection of <br /> North Park d Hatton Streets in Eugene. <br /> The Housing Authority and Community Services Agency (HACSA) is the developer and general <br /> partner for the project. Thetwo-bedroom units will rent for $295 per month and the three-bedroom <br /> units at $365, levels much lower than market rates for similar units in the community. In addition, <br /> HACSA will a cept up to eight families from the local emergency shelter system who are receiving <br /> services intend d to assist them toward self-sufficiency. HACSA has established relationships with <br /> nonprofit ag cies, including Lane ShelterCare and Catholic Community Services, who will <br /> administer se sufficiency programs for the eight families selected for these units. <br /> The financing for Walnut Park represents the kind of partnership between Oregon's public and <br /> private secto necessary to construct affordable housing today: Centennial Bank of Eugene <br /> provided co ction and bridge financing. The Network for Oregon Affordable Housing (NOAH) <br /> is the source o the permanent financing.
