Citizens <br /> are invited t drop by at their convenience. <br /> A pu lic hearing will be held Thursday, February 9, beginning at 6 p.m. at the Eugene <br /> City Hall Co ncil Chamber, 777 Pearl Street, to gather comments about the project. The <br /> hearing is s onsored by a Eugene City Council committee that is studying design and <br /> financing is ues related to the reopening of Willamette Street. <br /> The esign proposals were developed by athree-member Council subcommittee <br /> appointed t recommend a scope of improvement for the proposed reopening. Prior to <br /> making its t ntative proposals, design committee members Councilor Tim Laue and citizen <br /> appointees eter Bartel and Laurie McClain reviewed concepts from the 1991 downtown <br /> design proc ss and features included in the 1992 Olive Street design. A second Council <br /> subcommitt a is studying financing options.
