The west Eugene project, put together by <br /> the City of Eugene Public Works Transportation Division, is designed to <br /> improve pedestrian and bicycle facilities while also enhancing scenic <br /> beautifi ation and water quality. <br /> The first phase of the project is projected to cost approximately $1.4 <br /> million, with $1.172 million, or almost 85 percent, coming from federal funds <br /> and the alance from local sources. The first phase involves extending the <br /> bicycle ath on the north bank of the Amazon Channel south of West 11th <br /> Avenue f om Bailey Hill to Danebo Street.
