Between June 15 and September 30, property owners <br /> are responsible for removing all obnoxious vegetation from their property. <br /> Obnoxious vegetation includes weeds and grass more than 10 inches high and <br /> blackberry vines or vegetation that extends into a public way or across a <br /> property'', line. The purpose of the ordinance is to control any vegetation <br /> that would impair a motorist's visibility, block the public right-of-way, or <br /> pose a fire hazard. <br /> Undeveloped property includes individually numbered tax lots with an <br /> assessed improvement value of $500 or less. Any vegetation on undeveloped <br /> property', that blocks the visibility of motorists must be removed throughout <br /> the year; <br /> Forldeveloped properties, the ordinance in in affect all year and <br /> includes ''vegetation, visual obstructions, garbage, and debris. If a code <br /> <br /> violatio is found on developed property, the owner is notified by letter. <br /> If ~ violation is found and the property owner does not remove the <br /> vegetation, the city will hire a contractor to mow or remove it, and the <br /> mo r e <br /> <br />
