The open house runs from 9 <br /> a.m. td 7 p.m. Thursday, May 20, at the Maintenance yard, 1820 Roosevelt <br /> Blvd. <br /> Tf1e stormwater maze shows children the harmful effects of pollution on <br /> local vVaterways. The obstacle course helps children understand traffic <br /> signs, while the seat belt convincer display teaches the importance of <br /> wearing seat belts. Other children's activities include seed planting, a <br /> pipe assembly game, a giant puzzle, an airport target toss, the EcoMaster <br /> computer game, and a coloring area. <br /> Popsicle stick bridges built by local middle- and high school students <br /> <br /> will b tested to see how much weight they can hold, and the Oregon Duck will <br /> be on and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Children also are invited to climb on <br /> equipment displays and enjoy free pop and popcorn. <br /> F~r more information, call 687-5220. <br /> # # # <br /> <br />
