The street will be <br /> closed to all traffic beginning early Saturday morning and will be reopened <br /> by 6 a.m. on Monday, July 12, before the morning rush hour. <br /> The Sinkhole, which appeared June 18, was created by a break in a sewer <br /> line 18 tp 20 feet underground. During the repairs, the contractor will <br /> excavate to a depth of 20 feet and will fix the break in the line and will <br /> install a,.new manhole in High Street. In addition, the service line that <br /> serves City Hall will be upgraded. The upgrade will include replacing the <br /> existing six inch concrete line with an eight inch pipe made of PVC, which is <br /> longer lasting and requires less maintenance. The emergency repair will cost <br /> $9,500. <br /> Nort bpund motorists will be detoured west on 8th to Oak during the <br /> two-day project. <br /> <br />
