Public Works <br /> City of Eugene <br /> 858 Pearl Street <br /> Eugene, Oregon 97401 <br /> (503) 687-5262 <br /> NEWS RELEASE <br /> July 9, 199 <br /> CONTACTS Tom Larsen, Project Manager, 341-5886 <br /> <br /> From Sandra Gleason, Public Information, 687-5523 <br /> FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE <br /> CITY TO INSTALL TRAFFIC SIGNALS ON COBURG ROAD <br /> On Monday, July 12, beginning at 8 a.m., Linnco Electric from Albany <br /> will start work on traffic signals on two intersections on Coburg Road. The <br /> signal will be upgraded at Coburg and Cal Young, and a new signal will be <br /> installed at Coburg Road and Bailey Lane. Work will include installing some <br /> new curb, access ramps, and sidewalks and modifying existing traffic islands at <br /> the two intersections.. Completion is scheduled for mid-September. <br /> During morning and evening drive times, the contractor will maintain two <br /> travel lames in each direction on Coburg Road. At all other times, one travel <br /> lane in each direction open will be kept open.. Motorists can expect some <br /> delays. Some evening work may occur. <br /> Thy project is funded through the Capital Improvement program and will <br /> cost about ~ 150,000. <br /> <br />
