Athree-category structure h been recommended by a citizen advisory committee that has been meeting for about six m nths. The three categories include "small" and "medium" residential customers and all othe users, which are called "general" customers. Some reductions or exemptions to the user fee may be available for all customers that manage Stormwater on site. Small residential customers include users whose building footprint (the first floor building area plus garage) is e~u~l to or less than 1,000 square feet. The estimated flat fee is between $4.50 and $5.60 a mor?th. Med~um residential customers include all users whose building footprint is greater than 1,000 squar feet and less than 3,000 square feet. Approximately 90 percent of all residential users are in this category. The estimated monthly flat fee will range between $6.70 and $8.20 a month. Ge erall customers include residential users whose building foot print is 3,000 square feet or greater and all commercial and industrial customers. The rate for general storm customers v~ill be based on the actual impervious surface area of the property. Current estimates indicate the cost per 1,000 square foot of impervious surface area will range _ between $2:00 and $2.60 a month„ Public hearings on the Plan and financing strategies will be held before the Eugene Planning Cpmmission on Tuesday, September 7, 11:30 a.m., in the Eugene Council Chambers, '~77 Pearl Street; and before the Eugene City Council on Monday, October 25, 7:30 p.m., ijn the Eugene Council Chambers, at 777 Pearl Street.
