Roberts Company under
contract to the City of Eugene, provide access to the new UO South Transit
Station being constructed by Lane Transit District (LTD) on the west side of
Kincaid. LTD is adding the second transit station because the existing
station at Kincaid and 13th Avenue is overcrowded.
During crosswalk construction, Kincaid will be closed to northbound
traffic 'between 14th and 13th avenues. One lane on Kincaid will remain open
to southbound traffic. The alley in the block between Kincaid and Alder
streets will be closed to through traffic, and there will be no parking on
Kincaid ',during construction. Work is scheduled to be completed before
classes ,begin at the University of Oregon in late September.
The crosswalk design includes curb ramps and paving materials that will

match th~~e new transit station. Cost of constructing the crosswalk is
approximately $50,000.
# # #
i
