Paul Klope, Project Manager, 687-5246 (503)687-5262 <br /> From Public Information Section, 687-5523 <br /> FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE <br /> FRIDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL FANS SHOULD AVOID FERRY STREET BRIDGE <br /> Friday night football fans attending high school games at Autzen Stadium <br /> should use the Washington-Jefferson bridge or other routes for the next two <br /> weeks to avoid lane closures and possible traffic delays on the Ferry Street <br /> Bridge. <br /> ;I The city is repaving the Ferry Street Bridge, and two of the four lanes <br /> <br /> 1~. on the bridge are closed from 8 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. while work is in progress. <br /> That could mean delays this Friday for motorists headed home from the 6:15 <br /> p.m. game between Willamette and Churchill high schools and for those driving <br /> to or from the 8:45 p.m. game between North Eugene and South Eugene high <br /> schools. <br /> Next week, paving is scheduled, and delays are likely next Friday for <br /> fans using the Ferry Street bridge to get to the Marshfield-South Eugene <br /> early game or the Sheldon-North Eugene late game. <br /> Thebridge will be reopened to four lanes of traffic by 6:30 a.m., and <br /> other th n some bumps and grooved pavement, there shouldn't be any unusual <br /> delays f r traffic to and from Saturday's home game between the University of <br /> Oregon and the University of Montana. <br /> <br />
