The City of Eugene helps property <br /> ~ owners mee this important responsibility by identifying sidewalk hazards and by providing <br /> ~ information d advice about sidewalk repairs. Property owners are responsible for making <br /> I <br /> required rep irs. <br /> i <br /> As p rt of the ongoing inspection and repair program, sidewalks in the Friendly Area <br /> ~ Neighborho d (the area bounded by 18th Avenue, Amazon Parkway, 24th Avenue, and <br /> Chambers S reet) are being inspected. Problem areas will be marked with silver paint, and <br /> property o ers will be notified in early October of the exact location and nature of the <br /> sidewalk pr blems adjacent to their properties. <br /> Each year, the City works with property owners in different parts of town to make <br /> sure sidewa ks are in good repair and safe condition as defined by the Eugene Code. <br /> Identifying idewalk hazards helps property owners because they are liable for injuries or <br /> damages if he sidewalks adjacent to their property are in an unsafe condition.
