The process begins when development applications are received <br /> at Eugene s Permit and Information Center. <br /> I <br /> III "T e City of Eugene's West Eugene Wetland Conservation Plan represents an <br /> ~ unprecede ted coordination effort among several organizations, said Steve Gordon, Principal <br /> ~ Planner o Natural Resources for the Lane Council of Governments. "This plan marries the <br /> power of a federal government to protect wetlands with the knowledge and expertise of <br /> local entit' s," Gordon said. <br /> Th Wetlands Plan is one functional element of the broader Comprehensive Storm- <br /> <br /> ~r I <br /> water Ma agement Plan adopted by the Eugene City Council in November 1993. The <br /> Stormwat Management Plan conforms to federal and state mandates, meets local goals and <br /> 'I policies, d addresses multiple objectives of flood control, water quality, and natural <br /> resource p otection related to stormwater conveyance.
