On August 3, the Eugene city manager denied the permit <br /> application r newal requested by the two haulers, and Buck's and Ace will no longer be able <br /> to discharge waste at the regional wastewater treatment facility. <br /> To p otect public health and safety, the City allowed atwo-day extension from <br /> ~I <br /> ' Wednesday, ugust 3 until Friday, August 5, in order to allow Bucks and Ace sufficient time <br /> to comply th the order.. <br /> The ugust 3 decision was the final step in a process that began in September 1993. <br /> i <br /> F In Septembe ,the City notified Buck's and Ace that it intended to revoke their waste hauler <br /> permits beca se of evidence of illegal dumping of sewage into the regional sewer system at <br /> i, i locations oth r than the regional wastewater treatment facility. <br /> i <br /> more <br /> <br />
