sanitary sewers. The city and the county are working closely to cc
inate
traffic detours and other construction-related activities, but it's important
to note that questions about the Maxwell Road job need to be directed to Lane
County and questions about the sewer construction should be directe to the
city.
A summary of the apparent low bids will be available late in tie after-
noon on Friday, April 24, after the Basin D bids have been opened.
The city also is in the process of forming a local improvement district
that encompasses the three 1991 construction basins. I am includin a copy
of a letter sent April 9 to approximately 1,100 property owners and other
interested parties in the proposed local improvement district. The letter
includes information about a public information meeting on April 266 a public
hearing on April 29, and a City Council meeting on May 13.
In particular, we'd like to get out information about the public infor-
mation meeting, which will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. at the River Ro d Recrea-
tion Center, 1400 Lake Drive. Staff from the city's engineering an finance
division will be on hand to answer construction and assessment ques ions
about the 1991 sewer project.
If you have any questions about the bidding process or the local im-
provement district, or if you would like to arrange interviews in t~e office
or in the field, please give me a call at 683-8823.
Sincerely,
Eric Jones

River Road/Santa Clara Public Information Specialist
