Fowler Co., of Dallas, Ore., is the apparent low bidder for a <br />contract t construct sanitary sewers in the River Road area this summer. <br />I <br />The c nstruction company bid $990,548 to install sewers in Basin A, a <br />residentia neighborhood bounded by West Hilliard Lane, Sunnyside Drive, <br />Willow Str et, and River Road. The company's bid is 24 percent below the <br />city of Eu ene's estimate of $1.3 million. <br />The 6 sin A project drew seven sealed bids, which were opened Friday <br />morning by city Project Manager Michelle Cahill. The bids ranged from <br />Fowler's low bid to a high bid of $1.47 million. The other bidders were <br />Bonstan C nstruction Co. of Clackamas; Casper & Magera of Spokane, Wash.; <br />Emery & S ns Construction, Inc., of Stayton; Eugene Sand & Gravel, Inc., of <br />Eugene; T ny Russell Construction, Inc., of Othello, Wash.; and Wildish <br />Corvallis Construction Co. of Eugene. <br />Proj <br />completed <br />ct specifications call for sewer work to begin this summer and be <br />within 75 days. Final street repairs will be completed in 1991. <br />more <br />
