The program helps eliminate fire and traffic hazards <br /> <br /> II <br /> and protec s the health and safety of the community. <br /> ' On un eveloped property obnoxious vegetation includes all weeds and <br /> grass more than 10 inches high, blackberry vines that extend across property <br /> lines, or a y vegetation that extends into the public way. Undeveloped <br /> property in Ludes individually numbered tax lots with an assessed improvement <br /> value of $5 0 or less. <br /> The ci y enforces the ordinance for undeveloped properties between June <br /> 15 and Sept tuber 30 each year. During that time, property owners are <br /> responsible for mowing or removing grass and weeds on their property, <br /> including a sements and adjoining rights-of-way, or they may hire a <br /> contractor o do the work. If the city finds a code violation, a city <br /> ,contractor ill mow or remove the vegetation, and the city will bill the <br /> I'costs to the property owner.
