The relabeling will ensure metered hours are consistent throughout <br /> the city. The project will be finished by June 8, weather permitting. <br /> However, he city will not begin enforcing the new hours until June 18, 1990. <br /> The ew time limits for metered parking will be between 7 a.m. and 6 <br /> p.m, Mond y through Saturday. No fee will be required for the use of metered <br /> parking s aces on Sundays and on the following holidays: New Year's Day, <br /> Martin Lu her King Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, <br /> Veterans ay, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. <br /> <br /> li Acco ding to Traffic Maintenance Supervisor Dick Stevens, the <br /> discrepan ies in the metered hours occurred when the city installed 1,000 new <br /> parking m ters. The meters arrived from the factory with new metered hours <br /> and excep ion labels already on them, leaving approximately 1,000 old meters <br /> with outd ted information.
