The drop-in session is scheduled for Monday, February 25, from <br /> 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., in the Library at Shasta Middle School, 4656 Barger Drive. <br /> Intereste residents are encouraged to stop by and talk with staff from the <br /> city of E gene Public Works department about the improvements. <br /> The mprovements include widening Barger from three to five lanes to <br /> reduce tr ffic congestion on Barger, especially in the area of Shasta and <br /> Clear Lak Schools. Also included in the project are modifications to <br /> sidewalks along the south side of Barger to enhance pedestrian safety by <br /> <br /> ~ providing greater separation between pedestrians and vehicles. The project <br /> is planne for construction this summer and is funded through the city's <br /> capital i provement plan. <br /> <br /> ~ This is the first of several projects planned for the area. In the <br /> future, t e Oregon Department of Transportation plans to widen Beltline to <br /> four 1 ane and construct a ~ed~e~-~°i°a~overpass at Beltline . <br /> For ore information about the information session, call 687-5218. <br /> <br />
