The <br /> construct'on will include widening Barger Drive between Primrose and Echo <br /> j Hollow, i proving the intersection at Primrose and Barger Drive, and <br /> installin new traffic signals. Work will continue through the end of <br /> December 991. <br /> <br /> ~,,,,,,i i Duri g the first phase, the contractor will remove the existing five <br /> foot side alk on the south side of Barger and will replace them with new, <br /> j eight foo walkways. The new sidewalks will enable pedestrians safer access <br /> between t e shopping center, school, and residential areas. Curb, gutter, <br /> and a pla ting strip between the curb and sidewalk area will be constructed <br /> ' next. <br /> When the sidewalks and the curb and gutter are finished, the contractor <br /> i <br /> will begi work on Barger Drive. The road between Primrose and Echo Hollow <br /> will be a panded to two traffic lanes in each direction, and a center turn <br /> lane for oth east and west bound traffic will be added. <br /> Duri g the reconstruction, the east entrance into the Echo Hollow Plaza <br /> shopping enter will be kept open at all times. Traffic leaving the shopping <br /> center wi 1 be detoured to other exits on Echo Hollow, if needed. <br /> <br />
