The event will <br /> be held n Saturday, April 4, 9 a.m., at the Eugene Clinic parking lot, <br /> northeas corner of 13th and Charnelton. At the conclusion of the ceremony <br /> 39 trees will be planted along both sides of 13th Avenue between Willamette <br /> and Washington. This will be the final planting of the season for the city <br /> of Eugen 's new "NeighborWoods" program. The program is a partnership <br /> between eighbors, businesses, and local government to plant and maintain <br /> street t ees. <br /> Eug ne City Councilor Debra Ehrman, Tree Commission Chair Fred Lockhard, <br /> and Nora Stombock, a volunteer "NeighborWoods" coordinator, will make brief <br /> presents ions. During the ceremony, "NeighborWood" coordinators will receive . <br /> awards a d the more than 135 volunteers who helped with the tree plantings <br /> will be banked for their contribution. <br /> Pin ribbons will be distributed to volunteer coordinators to take back <br /> to their neighborhoods and tie to the trees that have been planted during the <br /> "Neighbo Woods" program.
