The $628,722 bid submitted by the Dallas <br /> firm was 23 percent below the engineer's estimate. Also bidding on the Basin <br /> G-East j b were six other firms. <br /> In asin H, which includes approximately 250 homes east of River Road <br /> between eltline Road and East Howard Avenue, H&J Construction of Eugene on <br /> Tuesday ubmitted the low bid of $821,113. The low bid was 22 percent below <br /> the engi eer's estimate. Seven other firms bid on the Basin H job. <br /> Beginning May 4, property owners in the three 1992 basins can get updat- <br /> ed asses ment estimates based on the apparent low bids. Estimates and other <br /> informat'on will be available at a drop-in session on Monday, May 4, from 1 <br /> to 7 p.m at the River Road Recreation Center, 1400 Lake Drive. <br /> A p blic hearing on the formation of a local improvement district that <br /> includes the properties to be served by this year's sewer construction will <br /> I <br /> be held ednesday, May 6, beginning at 6 p.m. in the Eugene City Council <br /> Chamber, 777 Pearl St. A hearing official will conduct the hearing and <br /> prepare recommendation set to be considered by the Eugene City Council on <br /> May 26. <br /> Con truction will begin in June and continue through September. <br /> The 1992 sewer construction is the third year of work in a seven-year <br /> project o install sewers to approximately 8,500 properties in River Road and <br /> Santa Cl ra.
