Depending on the amount of leaves that have accumulated <br /> on the str ets, Maintenance crews may make unscheduled pickups in some areas <br /> during the first week once collections in the downtown core area are <br /> completed. Unscheduled pickups will not change the regular schedule. <br /> City rews cannot collect scattered leaves; leaf piles that are stacked <br /> under or v ry close to parked cars; or debris other than leaves, such as <br /> branches, ocks, metal, and lawn clippings. To ensure leaves are picked up <br /> during the scheduled collection times, residents should pile leaves in the <br /> street the weekend before the scheduled pickup time. After January 8, <br /> property o Hers will be responsible for removing any leaves that are left in <br /> front of t eir homes. <br /> The first leaf pickup will begin in the downtown core area, Oct. 26 <br /> II through Oc 30. Crews will. return for the second pickup Nov. 30 through <br /> Dec. 4. <br /> The Willakenzie/north Eugene area, including Silver Lane and Sterling <br /> Drive, is scheduled for collection Nov. 2 through Nov. 6.
