In the past three years, Bob has worked hard to
refine an improve the quality and quantity of work. One effort involved
developin across-training program for the signing and striping crews, which
allowed c ew members to interchange duties. Not only has the cross-training
increased productivity and response time, but the crew is happier because
they have a more variety in their day-to-day work and have gained a larger
skill bas .
Two years ago, Bob organized a seminar on "Work Zone Traffic Control" for
Cit em 1 yees and for local contractors, utility workers, and others who
Y P
work in t e rights-of-way. He continues to promote and encourage proper
traffic c ntrol techniques through trainings and seminars. His work pays off
by provid ng safer work zones for workers and motorists.
This past year, Bob nearly single handedly developed the bus pass program for
City empl yees. He viewed the program as an opportunity to affirm the City's
committen to the use of alternative transportation modes, while at the same
time prov ding a basic service for City employees.
According to Bob's supervisor, Brant Williams, Bob has many exception quali-
ties, inc uding high standards for hard work and a willingness to help both
employees and citizens, if needed. "His personal standards are over and
ab ut tho a expected of any employee. He continually puts in extra hours
be~ause h enjoys this work and because he's committed to providing a high
level of ervice. His motivation, high level of energy, and his dedication
make him positive influence in the division and throughout the City."
~~Nr, ~
s w~~
l-~Er~ s ~~E _7~Fo
oc.•J ...~F 7 0 ~ E~~
~ `~E~-sue 1~~ f~l~ 1
~ ~ Y T1+~ ~ ~ ~E .
