w~ <br /> <br /> r ~ I ' ~ <br /> MAINTENA CE AND TRANSPORTATION RECOGNIZES OUTSTANDING SAFETY RECORDS <br /> By Sandra Gleason, Public Works <br /> The Maint Hance and Transportation divisions of Public Works held their 10th <br /> annual sa ety award ceremony on Tuesday, February 27, to honor employees for <br /> their saf ty records. <br /> Employees who worked 1, 5, 10, 15, 20, or 30 years without a lost-time <br /> accident ere recognized for their achievements. (Yes, there are employees <br /> who have orked 30 or more years without a lost-time accident.) An entire <br /> work sect on or crew who collectively works one calendar year without a <br /> lost-time accident also receives an Award of Excellence from Public Works <br /> Director hristine Andersen. <br /> This year, 99 employees 82 from the Maintenance Division and 17 from the <br /> Transport tion Division received one-year awards. Awards of Excellence <br /> were awarded to the following Maintenance crews: Fleet Services, Office and <br /> Records, T chnical Records, Street Sanitation, and Maintenance Planning. <br /> Transporta ion crews receiving Awards of Excellence included Operations and <br /> Maintenanc Signals and Street Lighting, and Parking Control. <br /> i <br /> Individual receiving five-year awards included Maintenance employees Jack <br /> Huddleston Steve Lovely, Arlan Collman, Claude Kruse, Gary Lynnes, and Mark <br /> Watson. <br /> <br />
