The theme of <br /> this ye is open house is "Public Works and You," which focuses on the ser- <br /> vices p ovided by Public Works. <br /> <br /> ~j Hands-o activities will allow the public to operate specialized equipment <br /> <br /> ~rrr such as backhoes and graders. You must be 18 or older to operate heavy <br /> equipme t. Displays will offer detailed information on how public works <br /> service are funded, and there will be opportunities to meet the employees <br /> who pro ide the services. Children will enjoy a wide range of activities, <br /> includi g trailer rides, a coloring corner, tire chalking, running computers, <br /> and pie ing together pipes. <br /> i <br /> Free po and popcorn will be available throughout the day, and free bicycle <br /> stampin will be offered to riders who bring an Oregon driver's license num- <br /> ber.
