Within <br /> three mont s, the airlines will move into the temporary quarters, and the <br /> i <br /> contractor will begin remodeling the ticketing areas in the north wing and <br /> constructi g the elevated concourse and the gate lobby. This section is <br /> scheduled or completion within a year, at which time the airlines will move <br /> into their permanent quarters in the newly expanded section. The contractor <br /> will then egin to remodel the south wing of the terminal. The restaurant, <br /> 'I gift shop, and all other services at the airport will remain in operation <br /> throughout the construction. Completion of the total project is scheduled <br /> for Decemb r, 1989. <br /> ~ When ompleted the terminal will be three times larger; will have a <br /> second-sto y concourse with a larger boarding area, enclosed passenger loading <br /> I <br /> bridges, a d an observation deck and meeting room; will offer more space for <br /> the airlin s, restaurant, gift shop, car rental agencies, and other airport <br /> businesses and will have a 200-foot long automated baggage claim system, <br /> j plus a 30- oot slide for oversized baggage. Ramp paving and lighting are <br /> included i the project. <br /> Archi ects for the project are TRA a Seattle, Washington firm and <br /> j Brockmeyer McDonnell Architects for Eugene.
