The project won second place. <br /> I, Twenty-five Oregon cities submitted projects constructed by 19 <br /> diff rent contracting firms. Winning requirements included general <br /> r <br /> deli n of the project, alignment and smoothness of the asphalt. <br /> ~ Firs place went to the city of Baker, Oregon, and third place to <br /> j Scio Oregon. <br /> The Willamette Street project eras begun and completed in 1976, <br /> at a cost of about $260,000. <br /> <br />
