Presently, parking is for a two hour time ! period and is largely used by University of Oregon t students. Because of these time frames and usage, Williams' Bakery has established off street. parking for ~ their visitors. Employee parking is provided in their off street parking lot east of Moss Street. ! I i Lo ding Activities: For many years, Williams' Bakery have provided delivery spaces and product unloading stations on their own site. In developing the masterplan in 1976, the need to eventu- ally relocate these specialized loading areas was r<~~alized. ~ ~ r i ~ An application to create a recessed loading zone on the west side of Moss Street was filed with the city of Eugene. This was to establish a loading space clear of traffic where a bulk transport could park for about- an hour to pump its con*_ent,$ into the storage bins within the building. ~ ~ 'rhsapplication was denied. During the years, Williams' Bakery has continued to request a loading zone on the west side of Moss Street. A loading zone was approved and has been in use for several years. This loading zone conflicts with the fire zone for the existing fire hydrant on the west side of Moss Street near ! its southern boundary. I F tore Building Uses: I With the continued improvement of baking equipment and the need to e„~_hP baking ingredients storage adjacent to . . the mix enter, a modification to the bakery masterplan was created in early 1985. In this current plan, relocating the storage facilities to the east side of the existing building would create a more efficient bakery operation and allow an orderly replacement ! of an existing baking oven as well as allow for an expan- Sion to the wrapping, slicing and delivery operation to the west of. the building.
