<br /> { i <br /> NEWS RELEASE <br /> April 24, 987 <br /> i <br /> CONTACT: ave Colley, Concrete Supervisor, 687-5286 <br /> <br /> ~ andra Gleason, Public Information, 687-5523 <br /> FOR IMMEDI TE RELEASE <br /> I <br /> CITY BEGINS REPAIRS ON 19TH AVENUE <br /> Ina hree-phase process, the city of Eugene will repair a five-block <br /> section of 19th Avenue, between Fairmont Boulevard and Agate Street, beginning <br /> 8 a.m., Mo day, April 27 and continuing through the end of May. <br /> <br /> j <br /> Accord ng to Dave Colley, public works' concrete supervisor, crews will <br /> i <br /> repair the broken and chipped street concrete, fill settled areas, and repair <br /> and replac broken and raised catch basins. <br /> Durin phase 1, April 27 through May 5, the eastbound lane on 19th <br /> between Fa rmont and Moss will be closed; eastbound traffic will be detoured <br /> onto side treets at the west end of Moss Street. <br /> On Ma 11th, crews will begin repairs on the eastbound lane of 19th <br /> <br /> i <br /> <br /> a <br /> between Mo s and Agate, and eastbound traffic will be detoured onto side <br /> <br /> 1 <br /> j streets at the west end of Agate. <br /> Westb and traffic will not be affected during the first two phases. <br /> <br /> { After May 22, crews will move to the westbound lane of 19th between <br /> Fairmont a d Agate to make minor street repairs. Two lanes of traffic will be <br /> maintained whenever possible. <br /> Parki g will be available on all side streets during the construction. <br /> P <br /> <br />
