Excavation must be <br /> completed by October 1; paving and finish work will continue into the winter. <br /> Wildish C rvallis Construction Co. is contractor for the $715,000 project. <br /> <br /> ~r <br /> Duri g the project, the contractor will widen 13th two feet--one foot on <br /> each side -and will install turn pockets on major cross streets. Sidewalks <br /> at inters ctions and all curbs and gutters will be replaced and existing <br /> i traffic s gnals relocated. Storm sewer lines will be built along the entire <br /> length of the project, and an eight-inch sanitary sewer line will be <br /> installed to replace a failed section of old line between Pearl and Nigh. <br /> On-street parking is planned for both sides of the street. <br /> Acco ding to Pat Bayes, project designer, bicycle lanes will remain <br /> between H lyard and Alder Street only. During construction, Bayes urges <br /> bicyclist to use 14th and 15th Avenues for access to and from the University <br /> of Oregon and Sacred Heart areas. <br /> more <br /> ~rr' <br /> <br />
