The <br /> bridge sp ns the Amazon Channel and connects the Fern Ridge bike and pedestrian <br /> path to b sinesses north of the channel. During the ceremony, the City will <br /> officiall open a new section of bike path that will extend to Baily Hill Road <br /> and will lso honor the local businesses who offered assistance during the <br /> reconstru tion of the historic bridge. <br /> Fest vities will start at 10:30 a.m., with a bike ride/walk/run that will <br /> begin at 5th and Jefferson Street at the old Jefferson Pool parking lot and <br /> will fini h at the bridge in time for the opening ceremony.
