The contractor <br /> plans to ork at night between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. <br /> Duri g the preparation phase, crews will grind three and one-half <br /> inches fr m the existing surface. The road will be rough and uneven until <br /> the resur acing is completed, and motorists are urged to drive with caution. <br /> One lane f traffic will be open in the work area, and some delays may <br /> occur. A 1 detours will be posted. <br /> The ection of Coburg Road north of Centennial Boulevard was last <br /> overlayed in 1972 and south of Centennial in 1984. The resurfacing is <br /> necessary to repair the deteriorating and brittle roadbed and to fix some <br /> drainage roblems. <br /> Core tests analyzing the structural strength and depth of the roadway <br /> were unde taken in March to help the city determine the depth of overlay <br /> ~ needed, t us ensuring greater cost efficiency. <br /> The 139,500 overlay is part of the city of Eugene's annual capital <br /> improveme t program. <br /> i <br /> <br />
