2. WORK ORDER TASKS: <br /> Task 1 -Project Coordination and Meetings <br /> The major objectives of this task are to establish the lines of communication and to set forth the <br /> prigrities between the City and Consultant. As the work progresses, the objectives will include <br /> keeping the City informed of progress and aware of changes affecting scope of work and costs. <br /> Following the execution of this Agreement and issuance of Notice to Proceed (NTP) to the Construction <br /> Contractor (CC), Consultant shall attend and participate in a preconstruction conference, scheduled <br /> and conducted by the City, to discuss the construction schedule, utility involvement, permit concerns, <br /> required submittals, materials, and other items relevant to the construction of the Project. The project <br /> coordination task will be ongoing throughout the Project. <br /> Deliverables <br /> ¦ Attend and participate in a preconstruction conference with the CC and City. <br /> ¦ Schedule: As scheduled by the City and prior to CC beginning on-site work. <br /> ¦ Attend weekly project progress meetings with City and CC. <br /> ¦ Schedule: As requested by the City. <br /> ¦ Provide monthly invoices for engineering services to the City. <br /> ¦ Schedule: Monthly in the normal billing cycle. <br /> ¦ Attend up to three (3) additional coordination meetings with City. <br /> ¦ Schedule: As requested by City. <br /> Task 2 -Structure Engineering and Inspection <br /> Consultant shall perform structure engineering and inspection as required to ensure conformance of <br /> the water quality vault structure construction with the approved plans and specifications for the <br /> Project. The following activities are involved in Structure Engineering and Inspection: <br /> ¦ Inspect temporary shoring construction and foundation excavations as required. <br /> ¦ Inspect forming and falsework for concrete construction. <br /> ¦ Inspect placement of materials including reinforcement, drilled dowels, slide gates, and weirs. <br /> Deliverables <br /> ¦ Document pll engineering and inspection services using approved forms and report formats. <br /> ¦ Schedule: Submit copies of inspection reports weekly and originals with final documentation. <br /> Task 3 -Review Shop Drawings and Submittals <br /> As requested by the City, Consultant shall perform a review of shop drawings and submittals related <br /> to structural items and provide review comments to City. These may include details for reinforcing. <br /> steel, concrete mix designs, concrete forming. and falsework, temporary shoring design, and other <br /> <br /> ' product data submittals as requested. Consultant shall ensure that shop drawings are processed in a <br /> timely manner so as not to delay the construction contractor's operations. City has final authority for <br /> approval of submittals. <br /> Deliverables <br /> ¦ Provide shop drawing review to City as requested. <br /> ¦ Schedule: Review and process within 10 working days after receipt from the City. <br /> Polk Street WQ Vault - CE Services May 16, 2008 <br /> Page 2 of 3 <br /> <br />
