An emphasis was placed on projects that would create a lasting <br /> legacy through permanent improvements, are focused on areas most likely to impact the Eugene '08 <br /> experience and those that could realistically be completed by June of 2008. Project leads were <br /> `w designated and budget targets for each were developed. The current list of projects includes: <br /> Way-Finding and Interpretive Signage $48,000 ~ <br /> Provide appropriate signage for directions to/from Hayward Field and river paths, downtown. On- <br /> streetsignage $18, 000, off-street signage $S0, 000 ($20, 000 being matched by Eugene Parks <br /> Foundation) 9 9 5 2 Z z <br /> Alton Baker Park Improvements $25,000 <br /> Interpretive signage/kiosks, Whilamut Prairie plantings, restoration & enhancement <br /> ~ 5''30 2.. <br /> Enhancements to Autzen Foot Bridge ~ ~ $10,000 , Qo`~ <br /> Clean up and beautify the Willamette foot rtdge connecting UO campus and Autzen Stadium, a <br /> t major corridor for pedestrians/bicyclists. Enhance bridge, replace bridge rail and bench. <br /> Recycling • $5,000 ~ ~o~ <br /> Place rece~~~es~nai information about recycling along riverfront and bike/pedestrian trails on <br /> the corridor fram Autzen Stadium to Hayward Field . <br /> Willamette River Cleanup <br /> Bank clean up, invasive species removal and habitat restoration.
