(PSI) is pleased to submit the following proposal for <br />performance of a geotechnical Investigation and preparation of an engineering services report for <br />the site referenced above. This proposal outlines the services we propose to offer on this project, <br />our fee and schedule- <br />PROJECT INFORMATION <br />Project information was provided by yourself in a site meeting on Thursday November 13, 2003 <br />and project plans submitted to us on the same date. Per our telephone conversation on <br />Monday November 77, 2003, the retaining wall along Martin Luther King Boulevard has been <br />eliminated. Per our site meeting and project plans, the proposed retaining wall will. be <br />approximately a feet high, 150 feet long and will be placed on the West side of Garden Way <br />from Station 37+50 to 39+04_ The retaining wall is being constructed to support embankment <br />beneath I-105 freeway (middle overpass). The retaining wall is planned to be constructed using <br />8 inch high concrete masonry units by Mesa Concrete Units along with a Tensar Earth <br />Technologies geogrid. <br />The three items specifically requested from us in a report are the following: <br />• Allowable Bearing Capacity. <br />• Angle of Internal Friction of Material Behind the Wall. <br />• Unit Weight in Ibs/cu.ft. of Material Behind the Wall. <br />
